Bridges signifies resilience: a journey from darkness to light. It also signifies a connection between myself and you… and now I'd like us to use this to connect. Please use this platform as a message-board to share your stories of resilience, strength and appreciation for yourself and others. I can't wait to read them.
Cal x
"Rise" would have been my theme song in the second half of the 1980s after I tested positive for exposure to the "AIDS virus" (it wasn't even called "HIV" yet) in 1985. I was 24 then. Before that, I was disowned by my parents. I didn't have the easiest time of it, but I made the best of it and, with some hard work and lot of luck, I survived those dark times. I'm sad that so many other young people didn't survive those times but I'm glad that I got to live to see things get better, and to hear your sing, Calum.
