Bridges signifies resilience: a journey from darkness to light. It also signifies a connection between myself and you… and now I'd like us to use this to connect. Please use this platform as a message-board to share your stories of resilience, strength and appreciation for yourself and others. I can't wait to read them.
Cal x
As a young boy I didn't think I was long for this world. I didn't fit in. I knew I was different in a way nobody was going to understand, especially my family--a strict religions family. But I stuck it out, mostly because my sister died by suicide as I turned 21 and I couldn't do that again to my family. Flash forward 40 years, two failed (straight) marriages, and I decided my family would love me "no matter what..." (thanks to some help from a certain song) and guess what? I was right! Sadly my dad passed away on the day I was going to tell him, but "No Matter What" is a constant reminder to me that I KNOW he would have told me that, (and to "keep kissing boys in the street.") Now I am in a very happy long-term relationship, and have never been happier and felt more free to be ME! Thanks Calum!
