Bridges signifies resilience: a journey from darkness to light. It also signifies a connection between myself and you… and now I'd like us to use this to connect. Please use this platform as a message-board to share your stories of resilience, strength and appreciation for yourself and others. I can't wait to read them.
Cal x
The last year has been one of a whole range of emotions. There were several times when my thoughts seemed to overtake me, going to dark places I didn't even know existed. Every song in this album speaks to me in different ways and different things I've experienced: drifting away from a friend I would once do anything for (Cross Your Mind); the longing for parental acceptance as a bisexual in a religious home (Boys in the street) and the internal conflict that comes with suicidal thoughts (Bridges). I am so thankful to my friend, the one in this pic and my teachers, who pulled me out of a dark place and are always there for me. I am grateful to Calum also, for always making music that comes from his heart and speaks to mine, and for letting me share my story. đź’–
